Validating web3 solutions to enrich the online experience of Miele customers in their digital purchase journey.

The solution & approach

Our innovation expert collaborated with Miele's specialists to investigate AR, Image Recognition, Voice Assistance, and an AI chatbot to optimize the online vacuum cleaner buyer journey.

Through audience segmentation, we conducted experiments using a chatbot as a vehicle to test various Web3 solutions. We conducted user test across 6 different countries.

The AI chatbot & image recognition proved effective: streamlining the purchase process. With invalidations for other solution directions we helped Miele mitigate innovation risk: they now know what kind of Web3 solutions really solve a burning customer problem and where to invest.

The results

  • Validated strong user interest in an AI chatbot and the image recognition feature
  • Invalidation insights to de-risk the next steps on Web3 technology for Miele products
  • An augmented reality low-code prototype
