How did you join The Talent Institute?

I discovered The Talent Institute through a post on LinkedIn. At that time, having just concluded my internship at Unilever, I was eager for a new challenge. The Digital Marketing Traineeship caught my attention due to the vibrant work culture at Rituals and their data-driven expertise. I aspired to delve into the realm of Digital Marketing and understand how a powerhouse like Rituals positioned itself in the market.

How is your traineeship going so far?

My traineeship is going very well. I love the variety in projects and challenges. I get a ton of responsibility and get trusted by my colleagues. The company culture is very pleasant at Rituals, and I love getting to continue my theoretical learning during trainings on Friday.

What is your main focus right now?

I am currently focusing on web and app optimizations. In my team I am the app owner and am responsible for analyzing data points and strategizing a way forward. I am responsible for creating a smooth experience on all our platforms, really looking at the customer journey and seeing what we can improve. Next to this, I am taking charge of the checkout optimizations. As we are present in many countries, our tone of voice in every specific country needs to be perfect. We are starting to be use AI to improve on our translations as well.

What is your biggest learning so far?

My biggest learning is the amount of stakeholdering while working in a big company. Connections and trust are needed to succeed in different projects. The number of projects can be overwhelming at times, so setting good boundaries and expectations is necessary. Structure is everything.
