Up-skilling myself as a young professional
Before I was working at an advertising agency, but I felt I lacked a varied skill set. That’s why I choose to join The Talent Institute: to gain more skills in digital marketing” says Vincent van der Zalm, a trainee from The Talent Institute.
For him, TTI was the perfect combination of development by experience-based learning.
Vincent joined the traineeship in May 2018 & is still working at his traineeship company Sjauf Technologies as a Growth Marketeer. Sjauf is the first drivers-app enabling you to book a driver for your own car.
From his TTI training, he often applies the lean startup model way of thinking in his work. This changed the way Sjauf targets its audience. He also learned the importance of testing and creating a proof of concept, as well as creating more structure to crucial business processes.
When asked about his most valuable takeaway as a trainee, he replies without any doubt: “To never stop learning. Anywhere you go, every company you join: keep feeding your curiosity! The traineeship from TTI definitely made me more curious. Embrace the uncertainty, find out the things you don’t know, and feel comfortable doing so!
That is also my advice to other young professionals: Always work with an open mind and don’t panic. At first, it can seem overwhelming but believe in yourself and you will make it work! The TTI traineeship will empower you in this belief. I am certainly proud of the impact I created at my traineeship company!”
