Why did you join The Talent Institute?
Many companies in Amsterdam know The Talent Institute. They believe that The Talent Institute graduates are interesting hires & I consider this a big advantage and believe that it certainly gives you a head start. What also convinced me to choose The Talent Institute is the fact that pretty much 100% of all trainees get a job when the Traineeship is done. When you just graduated from university, you sort of head out into the unknown. This Traineeship helps you become comfortable with the unknown and teaches you that you can learn everything, including the skills you need to acquire your dream job. It gives you that confidence you need at the beginning of your career.
"Being a Talent Institute graduate gives you an advantage, it gives you a headstart!"
What is the biggest takeaway from your time at The Talent Institute?
That a flexible mindset is everything. Technological developments are happening at an amazingly fast pace, and this inevitably means that our jobs are changing too. Jobs people have now didn’t exist ten years ago. If you want to keep up, you have to be able to adapt to those changes. It has boosted my self-esteem to find out that I am not afraid to try new things while working for a company. I’m the youngest person at our company, but I think this is an advantage…I grew up in the digital age and I’m really not afraid to fail!
What are you doing now?
I currently work as Growth Marketer at Foleon.
I’m exploring new options for B2B lead generation. At the moment, I focus on paid social advertising at Xing, LinkedIn, and Facebook. When I started at Foleon they only used Google Ads to advertise online, so we’re expanding lead volumes. I also write a lot of content for Foleon. Among them are interesting white papers that people can download. The topics vary, but the most recent white paper I wrote is called An introduction to digital content creation.
